I have sold The Conversor to people who wear hearing instruments and who are having difficulty understanding speech in quiet settings, or though background noise at meetings, lectures, in religious services and when watching television. Most of the people are retired. They find The Conversor easy to use and the price is right. One of the favorable attributes is that it can be used with ITE hearing instruments that have a t-coil. The patient does not have to be wearing BTE instruments. When a patient tells me that they are having difficulty understanding speech with their hearing instrument (and the instruments are working properly), I ask them if they would like to try something that works with the hearing instruments to enhance the quality of sound by bringing the signal to them clearer. I then demonstrate The Conversor. I move around my office, increasing the distance between myself (the microphone) and the patient, moving around corners, etc. I usually get a "wow" response from the patient. I then encourage their companion (if they have come along to the appointment) to speak into the microphone. I have had a number of fabulous reactions from both the patient and their companion, surprised at the quality of sound from The Conversor.
