Easy Listening for Active Lifestyles

The Conversor offers wearers of Telecoil-equipped hearing instruments and selected cochlear implants an effective solution for enhancing sound clarity in a variety of everyday settings.

Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs), which are designed to improve the quality of sound received by the hearing aid, are not new to the market, however with The Conversor, UK-based Conversor Limited. offers hearing aid wearers greatly improved sound quality and versatility to enjoy more out of everyday life.

The Conversor, a newly improved, affordable wireless FM assistive listening device from UK-based Conversor Limited., features unique patented technology that filters out unwanted background noise and greatly improves sound level and clarity for hearing aid wearers in a variety of listening situations in the classroom, at a party, during meetings, in a busy restaurant, or watching television.

Designed for comfortable and discreet use, The Conversor consists of two components an FM microphone/transmitter and a pendant receiver. The compact, wireless microphone/transmitter can be held in the hand and pointed at the desired sound source, or placed on a surface near a distant sound source for enhanced intelligibility up to 25 meters away. Users can focus exactly on the sounds they want to hear by selecting their desired mode of hearing whether for one-to-one conversations or for group discussions. The lightweight pendant receiver is worn by the user on a pendant around the neck, either above or discreetly beneath clothing, and sends the much improved sound received from the microphone/transmitter to the hearing aid switched to the Telecoil setting. For hearing impaired users who do not wear a hearing aid, The Conversor can also be used with standard headphones, which are easily plugged into the pendant receiver.

With The Conversor, users can now take a more active part in everyday listening situations, without the frustration of not hearing properly. By filtering out unwanted background noise, the desired sound is much clearer and more intelligible. And by increasing the available sound level, The Conversor puts less strain on the hearing aid amplifier, eliminating distortion and feedback at higher sound levels.
